Meet Davide – A Familiar Face with a Clear Point of View
Many of our clients know Davide already — precise, observant, with a strong sense of style. But what drives his approach to tailoring?
We asked him a few quick questions about elegance, personality, and the role of clothing. Here’s what he had to say.
I sat down with one of our tailors to ask him a few quick questions. He warned me in advance: “I’m a boring subject.” I disagreed.
How old are you?
He didn’t want to answer that one — fair enough. But he did say how old he feels: “It depends on the day.”
What do you usually have for breakfast?
“I don’t take breakfast normally. But when I’m in Milan, I always go to my favourite bar — it’s run entirely by women. There, I have an espresso with a brioche.”
Favourite coffee?
“Espresso. Always.”
Favourite aperitif?
“Only when I’m in Italy: a Crodino or Aperol Spritz.”
Secret indulgence?
“I enjoy elegance — not only in clothing, but especially in behaviour.”
What do you appreciate most about a bespoke suit?
“For me, clothing is communication. With an outfit, you express who you are. Being dressed in the wrong way for the occasion is a sign — not just that you’re not interested in yourself, but also not in others.”
And what do you love most about Made to Measure?
“I love seeing women compliment their men on a new outfit. That moment says it all.”
How many suits do you own — and do you wear them all?
He smiles. “Yes, I own quite a few. And yes — I still wear them all.”
Favourite Italian fabric or detail to work with?
“I don’t have a fixed preference. I like to play — to combine different items, to experiment.”
What makes a man stylish, regardless of what he wears?
“One word: charisma. The outfit should match and highlight the personality of the man.”
